Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is the host of SportsNation as well as a SportsCenter anchor. She joined ESPN in 2016. joined ESPN. Her mother is the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bilingual and has been since the age of nine. The ability to speak two languages allowed her to land her first job at Univision, Miami. She could work as a producer for national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then, she was hired by the CBS affiliate in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. She moved in 2009 from Rio Grande Valley, Texas to become an investigative reporter for the Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In reporting on news stories about drugs and immigration issues from both sides of the Mexico-Texas border, she was an anchor on KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 from 5 pm, an anchor for the news channel in English for 9 pm, then a news anchor for 10 pm, and then returned on channel Spanish channel. She was also often asked to fill in as anchors for the weather and sports. Then she became the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given more responsibility. She wrote on the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. She also produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she served as anchor. She was advertised as anchoring sports to Despierta America Deportes' morning show. She served in the same capacity on the magazine program of the network Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents were born in Veracruz Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on November 22nd 1985. She's younger than her sister. The family moved to Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. Within a brief time her father separated from her mother and she then remarried in 1995 a naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. On a family vacation in Ohio, younger Collins had taken a position along with her sister. Antonietta was a senior in high school having a clear idea of where she thought her future would be like, visited Mount Union University in order to find out what she could get out of the college. At the end of the day she was enthralled with the university. They also offered her a major. Her studies were completed and she was accepted into the University for a master's degree of media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also the WRMU's 91.1FM station, where she was employed for many years, became an acquaintance. He was the one who boosted her confidence, and his passion for Journalism deeply touched her. She strived to fulfill his expectations always delivering on time.
